It is so incredibly refreshing to see a couple guys who are just sick, crazy, passionate about what they do. But these videos not only illustrate what you guys do, but also who you are. You guys were made to do what you’re doing. It’s just apparent in every video. You’re very blessed.
Fred Harvey yeah but you’re not gonna sell that in your restaurant. You and the staff take it home to use or you find another way to use it where the customer isn’t directly consuming the worst parts of the animal
@@jebwatson the context is that the chef wanted the buns bland to not "mess with" the flavorful dry-aged patties. Yet they ended up masking the patties flavor with fish sauce, worcestershire and aged cheese. Those things have extremely heavy flavor that will mask whatever flavor of the patties.
I love how I look through the comments section of a Meat Show video and it’s a bunch of Nick Solares haters and memes but then I look through Prime Time videos and the comments are all just people wanting Nick back
most of the hate / memes you see aren't actually hatred towards Nick Solares. He was eccentric, yes, and sometimes embarrassingly corny, but he also brought a lot of passion to the show and his comical use of inapplicable adjectives helped him develop himself as a brand--a brand that we miss & want back!
ShittyKazoo unfortunately with today's political climate, im pretty sure all the loud hate caused Easter to drop nick as a host, which its extremely sad because he was actually one of their best presenters and most knowledgeable host.
We have to admit that they stepped up their game with description of the technical aspects and the presentation of the meat. I think that they know that we want Nick back so they are trying harder to give us what we want.
2 thin patties, dry aged beef (nothing too fancy though... 40 days max or the funk'll overpower anything else), with a nice char, 2 slices of sharp cheddar, pickled red onions, mayo-dijon with a dash o' greek yogurt, put on an agege-style bun (Nigerian bread... easy to bake! as bland as the classic potato bun, but ten times fluffier!!!) and you got the holy grail i'm making for friends when they're over. DELISH! Fantastic and inspirational episode, gonna hit the kitchen soon folks :)
This episode lacks the quintesential tensile strength that nick solares brought to Eater, there was a certain funk to the way he presented that put a profound effect on the content.
I like them much better than the previous “meat show guy”. Much more in-depth than the previous host. Less convoluted banter. More fun, less ego flexion
Perfect hamburger, at least in my opinion: Decent-sized patties (not too thick or thin) Some nice melted processed American "cheese". Standard condiments (mustard, ketchup, mayo etc.) Shredded lettuce for some crunch and freshness Thinly sliced tomatoes so they don't soak the bun. Caramelized onions. Toasted bun. ....Maybe that's why In-and-Out is so great. They literally make the perfect burger
Thin patty > Fat patty Cheese > No cheese Pickles > No pickles "Regular In-N-Out" style sauce(with a little spice > Weird sauce. Any type of onion is debatable. No lettuce, No tomato, nothing else. That's my 2 cents. Good episode! Thanks!
Salad on a burger is debatable. I like it, but I want it served on the side. Thin patties are the only way to go, though. I like when they actually get a little crispy like you get with a steak or smash burger.
Definitely would like extra sharp cheddar cheese and fresh shredded parmesan. Add mushrooms cooked in Guinness and let it reduce till you have a thick chunky mushroom stout reduction. No need for mayo since the reduction would add the “sauce”. On the potato roll is the best bun, just should be locally sourced. Think you could have a incredible burger with everything I just mentioned. Definitely worth a try, highly doubtful it will taste bad.
the amount we want nick solares to be in eater is like the amount of time we want beef to be dry-aged; not too little and not too much. just bring him back once, see the response, then move based off of the positivity/negativity of the response. Personally I don't want him back THAT MUCH, but I kind of want him back because he's kind of a necessary evil. I have a love-hate relationship with his pretentiousness. I want to be able to hate on him because it's funny. And, who knows, maybe he'll stop being pretentious and exude his passion in a more genuine way. tl;dr bring nick back xD
Yeah! We use everything to make sure all the flavor possible gets into the burger. When ground with the interior pieces, the driver outside effects flavor, but doesn't effect texture quite as much. Hope this answer is helpful!
Is there a pocket in Young Biff's apron to keep the 1984 Grey's Sports Almanac and, most importantly, will he and Luigi use it on thier next Quest to save the princess?
So basically most people bash on Nick Solares most of the time. The minute he is not there, in a video with a title like this, #freenicksolares is getting posted. Gotta love it.
Love the channel & seeing you experiment. The fact you keep feeding him - this is indicative of something. Not sure what. Everyone's happy, so all good!
Give it up already... Nick has moved on. If he wanted to he could start his own RUclips channel, but he hasn't - so either A) he doesn't want to or B) You can't make money so it isn't worth it.
No we don't Aside from the memes he's a terribly out-of-touch food reviewer that likes to spout big words without actually hitting the point of the dish
Lunana Sushistax the thing is you didn't like him because you couldn't comprehend the words he used. Disliking someone because they use big words?are you serious?what a little waste e of human life you are. Can't believe someone can be so intimidated by a large vocabulary

Not sure why all butchers/steakhouses that offer dry-aged do not use the trimmings in this way. Perfect. Love these hosts. 👍
Tosh T because they're grinding actual cuts and not scraps.
If there's one thing a good butcher will tell you is that nothing gets wasted. They use everything.
Fred Harvey yeah but you’re not gonna sell that in your restaurant. You and the staff take it home to use or you find another way to use it where the customer isn’t directly consuming the worst parts of the animal
2299mikey Okay..? I never said that they directly sell the worst parts to the customers.. I just said that a good butcher doesn't waste anything...
Fred Harvey and they’re clearly not wasting anything
3:13 "I dont want anything to mess with the flavor of the burger"
Proceeds to add fish sauce, worcestershire, and shitload of cheese
Lmao
I thought the same. Wtf is with all those shitty sauces they made
Jon Bridge lmao they are butchers not chefs and I guess they proved it
I think the key phrase is "mess with". What they added didn't mess with the burger, but rather enhanced it. Subtle difference.
“Tastes like the ocean. It’s just that... I don’t really want the ocean in my burger.” This guy is a legend.
Brent was so hurt when they didn’t like his sauce, that man was in pain.
I love how I look through the comments section of a Meat Show video and it’s a bunch of Nick Solares haters and memes but then I look through Prime Time videos and the comments are all just people wanting Nick back
I KNOW RIGHT!! I was gonna say the exact same thing lol
ShittyKazoo bahahaha LOL ikr? That’s people for ya I guess... The grass (-fed beef) is always greener! 😜

Needs more platonic ideals
Dry aged meat is pretty as Hell.
This video lacked CONCUSSIVE CRUNCH without my mans Nick.
I refuse to watch any video about dry aged meat without Nick Solares, this is far from the platonic ideal.
Brucie Kibbutz why nick is leaving ?
jill sandwich
Have you ever look at the comment section on every video of his ?
Otaku Dragon nope i came for the answer only thats why i asking
jill sandwich
Then go look at some comment on his video and you'll know
Otaku Dragon ok so i saw some comment about internet bully is it true ?
Dry-aged burger and no Nick?? You done messed up. Totally not ephemeral.
They fired Nick. He took part in white supremacist rallies.
Unfairly since those times long past and he did nothing extreme other than be a punk, which young people do often. Unfortunate really.
Love how the test with the chick you cut the burgers up into slices but the test with just the guys you all ate off the same burger.
We have to admit that they stepped up their game with description of the technical aspects and the presentation of the meat.
I think that they know that we want Nick back so they are trying harder to give us what we want.
Lol. These KPM jingles will never die. (1:10 Alan Hawkshaw - Beat Me Til I'm Blue)

Their passion for making good burgers is really fun to watch.
In Wisconsin we have the Butter Burger. What about an aged butter burger? I get mine bread, burger, bacon and cheddar. It's all you need.
I dont know how this guys dont have more subscribers, this its reallu good content
Keep feeding him at the end. I love it.
This episode lacks the quintesential tensile strength that nick solares brought to Eater, there was a certain funk to the way he presented that put a profound effect on the content.
TheLcass tensile strength lol. Haven't heard that one
You mean his obnoxious and pretentious pedantry? Nah, we're good
I stayed at a hotel around the corner from this brewery and I had a few beers there. It’s a great place to hang out I enjoyed the brew.
every time i watch these guys, i always get brokeback mountain vibes
Honestly I couldn't care less about Nick these dudes are super chill and great to watch

The tortilla press for the burgers. I dig it.
This series is really great, the hosts really have great banter and interact with the chefs incredibly
I love these 2 guys. Make more with them.
How does this channel not have more subscribers?
where is their restaurant and how fast can i get there
These burgers man I'm so hungry another great video as always guys awesome duo
Although I have my reservations about these dudes. As a Burger Restaurateur they are starting with the best possible product.
#FreeNickSolares
My platonic ideal is ruined, without the presence of Nick in an Eater "Meat" video.
Thin patty > Fat patty
Cheese > No cheese
Pickles > No pickles
"Regular In-N-Out" style sauce(with a little spice > Weird sauce.
Any type of onion is debatable.
No lettuce, No tomato, nothing else.
That's my 2 cents.
Good episode! Thanks!
I agree with you on every point.
that mustardy in n out sauce is way too strong for a decent burger
I dont like pickles lol
Igal Neshto yes to onions but just not pickled red onions
Salad on a burger is debatable. I like it, but I want it served on the side.
Thin patties are the only way to go, though. I like when they actually get a little crispy like you get with a steak or smash burger.
Don't get me wrong, these guys are super cool, but.... c'mon, the title? It screams the name of my boi Nick Solares!!! BRING HIM BACK, PLEEEEASE.
Šimon Pinkas What happened to him?
I really thought I was about to be hit by some platonic quintisential meat-man but these 2 came up and i was like damn.
Yes please
OH F*CK YEAS
Oh, I didn't know that. In that case I was wrong, thanks for correcting me.
pretty cool...am curious, looks like they grind the outer side of the aged part...is that safe to eat, esp at rare/medium rare?
The way you said "Woucestershire" is the closest anyone outside of the UK has ever said it!
Really cool video - good ideas, seeing it go from brainstorm to final, and well edited
The thing I hate the most about your videos. Is how hungry I feel after watching them 😀😜

I think eater just wants us to rally up and prove that we want nick back. what about #bringnickback on twitter or something?
I mean come on. nick and dry-aged shenanigans - name a more iconic duo.
This is my favorite video on youtube
I like using rings when I make my burgers presentation is valuable
Now i want a burger, thanks guys
What kind of cheese did they use? I couldn't quite understand what they are saying?
Your channel makes me hungry ! 😅
All of you made fun of Nick constantly and now you want him back?
Jakob Bogale stfu
We all want him back because we want to keep making fun of him. Nick was great fun.
another edgy boi up there
Wait, so you ground up the funky sides of the dry aged meat for the burgers too? Like the outsides that were touched by the air?
Eric Boisen I hope they scraped it and then just used the uneven cuts
Yeah! We use everything to make sure all the flavor possible gets into the burger. When ground with the interior pieces, the driver outside effects flavor, but doesn't effect texture quite as much.

Benjamin Turley that's a great answer. Thanks!
Is there a pocket in Young Biff's apron to keep the 1984 Grey's Sports Almanac and, most importantly, will he and Luigi use it on thier next Quest to save the princess?
There palates are next level!
So basically most people bash on Nick Solares most of the time. The minute he is not there, in a video with a title like this, #freenicksolares is getting posted. Gotta love it.
All the burgers 🍔 look delicious 😋
Cool. That Dijon was rated 5/7 @ 3:44
wish I could be there to eat and talk about it too~
In front of your boss you’re improvising some insane sauce that includes andouille sausage and not taste testing it before they do. That’s ballsy
I do this quite a bit. It's amazing!!
Jesus how many businesses do you have? A brewery too? I'm gonna need to visit them all.
00:14 Immediately my thoughts: "Why is he wearing an apron bra?"
Nick Solares should have been invited! lol.
Could you imagine dry aged sloppy joe!!!! Omg I'm so hungry!
re watching the first season of Luke Cage, finally realize who Brent Young (the non mustache dude), he look like Shade! LOL
Watching this while I make me some frozen winco patties
You know you’re a good chef when you don’t even try what your about to put as a condiment xD
So this is in the Bay area? Why was it on my feed if I can't order one!
get these guys their own show
Guy in black shirt: "My job is not to fuck it up." All these guys proceed to fuck it up with weird sauces.
Just rub me down like a brisket on Pit Master.
What is that song that stars around the 1 minute mark from
I was hoping this series focuses on them making custom sausages
Wants a bland bun to not take away from the flavor of the burger, but then goes and adds a bunch of strongly flavored sauces. Makes sense.
I thought the USDA did not allow the sale of meat with the black mold.
Love the channel & seeing you experiment.
The fact you keep feeding him - this is indicative of something. Not sure what. Everyone's happy, so all good!
Lmao I thought Nick was gonna be in this video
lol...thanks for wearing that shirt...I always wondered what the name "theme at hook" is supposed to mean... xD
Pickles, mayo, mustard. That's it. *Shows copious amounts of ketchup in bowl*
Bring back Nick. Its not the same.
the platonic ideal of a host
so people would internet bully him again? lmao
@Brad Mosen That's the point. They've replaced the meat show with this
Love these guys
I love Threes Brewing beer but I never had their food
Give it up already... Nick has moved on. If he wanted to he could start his own RUclips channel, but he hasn't - so either A) he doesn't want to or B) You can't make money so it isn't worth it.
LeGourmetTV Recipes nick got fired he didn’t leave
Fired, or moved on - end result is the same. He's not here. He's not coming back.
He is coming back on Meat Life this fall! It's on his own channel.
@@_notbrandon I've seen him in an ad series for 'Beef Loving Texans',
Since they own the Meat Hook, this is basically an inspection 😂
WE WANT NICK SOLARES
No we don't!
No we don't

That dude looks like Space dad from Megamind 🤣🤣
vzgsxr under rated comment
Oh my god. Is there a place where I can attempt to order like a pound of this dry aged ground GOLD???

Curious why do some people prefer grass fed?
I like how they keep on saying "we" at someone else's video
Now I want a burger
A tortilla press burger. Never thought about it
Phil Kessel left the hotdog business to get in on that burger biz.
Does anyone really know if you can eat trimmings??
Let us not forget that Jake From State Farm IS NOT THE SAME JAKE FROM STATEFARM.
